Dewayne Paul Gould

April 2, 1958 - March 9, 2022

Dewayne Paul Gould, 63, passed away March 9, 2022 at his home in Burleson, Texas. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Ave. in Burleson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, March 18, 2022 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, and burial will follow at Burleson Memorial Cemetery. Dwayne was born April, 2, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Calvin and Joanne Gould. He lived in Fridley, Minnesota until he was eight years old, and the family moved to the farm in Browerville, Minnesota. He graduated from Browerville High School in Browerville in 1976. After high school, he attended Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, Minnesota where he studied computer programming. He moved to Texas in 1980. He worked at The Fort Worth Star Telegram for many years as a maintenance coordinator. He then began work for Mansfield Independent School District as a lead carpenter, where he worked for 14 years. Dewayne met Sandra in 2000 at Bethesda Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas. They were happily together for over 20 years. He enjoyed making useful things, especially out of wood. He also had a handyman service, doing make readies for multiple rental properties. He enjoyed raising chickens and ducks and catching the wild predators that were roaming around. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Joanne Gould. Dewayne is survived by his significant other, Sandra Cox of Burleson; sons, Dorian Gould and wife, Satara of Cleburne and Donovan Gould of Cleburne; step-daughter, Rhonda Ramirez and husband, David of Burleson; brothers, Phil Gould and wife, Rhonda of Long Prairie, Minnesota, David Gould and wife, Tammy of Browerville, Minnesota, and Fred Gould and wife, Wendy of Willmar, Minnesota; sister, Ruth Khamassi of Joshua; grandchildren, Roxanne Miller, Calvin and Serenity Gould, and Eliana and Emelia Ramirez; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
