Ruben Reyes Pena

Ruben Reyes Peña, 63, passed away February16, 2022 at Medical City in North Richland Hills, Texas. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 2:00pm, Monday, February 21, 2022 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home - Burleson at 518 SW Johnson Ave, in Burleson. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm. He was born August 15,1958 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon to Gilberto Reyes Caballero and Dominga Peña Reyes. Ruben grew up in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon. He moved to Donna, Texas when he was a young adult, where he met his wife. Ruben married Sofia Tellez in 1986 in Fort Worth, Texas, and they were happily married for 34 years. He started his career in welding, and eventually moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where they have been established for over 30 years, and where they raised their three sons. Ruben was a member of Blue Mound Seventh-day Adventist Community Church. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren, fellowship with his church, and loved cooking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto Reyes Caballero and Dominga Peña Reyes and his brother, Ramiro Reyes Peña. Ruben is survived by his wife, Sofia of La Barranca, San Luis Potosí; sons, Roberto Edel Tellez of Weslaco, Texas, Reynaldo Ruben Reyes of Edinburg, Texas, and Roel Isai Reyes and wife, Casey of Fort Worth, Texas; brothers and sisters, Pedro Reyes Peña, Raymundo Reyes Peña, Raquel Reyes Sebastian, Sylvia Reyes Vasquez; grandchildren, Priscilla Torres, Alexandra Turcios-Tellez, Damian Tellez, Lola Reyes, Azalea Reyes and Ryan Reyes; nieces and nephews, Damian Reyes, Pedro Reyes Jr., Laura Sebastian, Ivonne Sebastian, Blanca Veronica Vargas Reyes, Indira Reyes Martinez, Raymundo Reyes Jr., Javier Alberto Vasquez, Anna Karen Vasquez, Luis Gilberto Vasquez, Sylvia Melissa Vasquez, Ramiro Ivan Reyes, Jesus Alan Reyes, and Celina Reyes.
